The Middle East is a region where cars and truck is king and fuel is cheap, often leaving little reward to find more environmentally-friendly ways of moving around.
But this year, as demonstrations throughout the Middle East have risen the cost of oil, the problem of discovering alternative sources of fuel has entered into sharp focus.
In an area that has among the greatest carbon footprints worldwide, one company is benefiting from the growing pressure to find options to oil. It's established the Middle East's very first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing successful too, currently their client-list consists of McDonald's.
